Clenchwarton Primary School

Year 2 Fire Safety

Year 2 were visited by the King's Lynn Fire Service on 19th October. The class had been learning about the Fire of London in 1666 and it gave them an opportunity to show off their knowledge.

The fire service helped the children to understand the importance of a fire plan at home as well as school, and that they should have a regularly checked smoke detector too. Pupils were allowed to squirt the hose, which was extremely heavy and powerful for some, and sit in the fire engine. The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and were buzzing about it all week! Thank you to the King's Lynn Fire Service for sparing us their valuable time.
