Clenchwarton Primary School

PTA

What the PTA does for the school.

Everyone who has a child in our school is a member of the Friends of the PTA.The committee is a very open, friendly team who represent many different year groups. We develop good friendships through getting involved on the Committee and are always keen to meet new people. We depend on the entire school community to run the PTA and appreciate help and support of all kinds.

The PTA does a fantastic job supporting the school, teachers and pupils. Their fund raising ideas have included Autumn and Summer Fairs, Car Boot Sales, School Discos for children and much more and is a registered charity (1028393).

The funds raised have paid for numerous extras for the school, some of the main projects being:

  • net books
  • class book sets
  • maths equipment
  • cameras
  • stage lighting
  • swimming pool cover
  • dinning room tables and chairs
  • outside benches
  • three free discos a year

They will be raising funds for other items that will benefit the children, such as outdoor play equipment, giant sails or umbrellas to provide shade in the summer and a new sound system.

The committee members have meetings on a regular basis in the local village pub, normally a Tuesday. The next meeting will be displayed on the PTA board outside the office and on the last meetings minutes available for download below. They are a friendly group of parents and teachers who enjoy the varied fund raising activities. If you would like to join our friendly committee please contact the school office or any member of the PTA.
